Noilly Prat

Noilly Prat is a French dry vermouth. Joseph Noilly in 1813 developed his first prescription for a vermouth. His son Louis was founded in the sea with his brother Claudius Prat and in 1855 became Noilly Prat & Cie. When both men had died, the company was taken over by Anne Rosine Prat, the widow of Prat (and sister of Louis). In the forty years in which they ran the company, new international markets were mined. Noilly Prat contains 18% alcohol. The company was acquired in the late 20th century by the rum producer Bacardi source: Wikipedia
